Roc Partners advisory board

The Roc Partners advisory board is a team of experts on Australian economics, sustainability and politics. The board members contribute their valuable insight and expertise into Roc Partners investment team decisions and the strategic direction of our business.

The Roc Partners advisory board members are The Honourable Nicholas Sherry, Fiona Reynolds, The Honourable Don Harwin and Richard Price.

Nick Sherry

Nick Sherry

The Honourable Nicholas Sherry was Senator for Australia (Tasmania) for 22 years and the Minister for Superannuation and Corporate Law (Australia’s first), Assistant Treasurer, Small Business Minister and Assistant Minister for Agriculture and Resources. He is currently the Chair of TWUSUPER, Chair of Household Capital, GO Sourcing, Co Chair Singapore Forum, Member of Advisory Committee to Roc Partners, DWS APAC Expert Panel and Chair of an NGO; Youth, Family and Community Connections.

Fiona Reynolds

Fiona Reynolds is an independent director and advisory board member working across the business and investor sectors on ESG and sustainability issues. She has 25 years’ experience in the financial services, superannuation and pension sector where she was CEO Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees (AIST) and Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). She is chair of the UN Global Compact Australia and ESG Advisory Board for Qualitas. Board member Frontier Advisors and an advisory Board member of Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners, Affirmative Investment Management, Roc Partners and BASF.

Don Harwin

The Honourable Don Harwin served in the New South Wales Parliament for 23 years in a range of roles including Minister and Leader of the Government in the Upper House and portfolio responsibilities for energy, mining, urban water, industrial relations, aboriginal affairs, heritage and the arts. He was the NSW representative to the COAG Energy Council, co-chaired the NSW Closing the Gap Joint Council and President of the NSW Legislative Council.
His board roles have included the Australia Council for the Arts, the NSW State Records and Archives Authority, the NSW Sesquicentenary of Responsible Government Committee and the Australia Youth Trust. He is Deputy Chair of Trustees of a small public sector defined benefit superannuation fund. He is also Director of Harwin Advisory.

Richard Price

Richard Price

Richard Price has 25 years’ executive experience at investment bank Macquarie Group, six years as Executive Chair at Aligned Resources Group, and a long career providing strategic, financial, investment and corporate advice to many leading companies in Australia and globally. He currently serves as an Investment Committee member of Australian Super and impact investment fund Conscious Investment Management. He is Chair of the Advisory Boards at Smarter SMSF and Magellan Stem Cells, and is a Council Member at the National Library of Australia. He holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) (Honours) from the University of Melbourne.

Description

The Local Broadband Network Company (LBNCo) is an installer and owner of superfast broadband networks in residential developments. LBNCo is engaged by property developers to install and maintain the fibre infrastructure, and sells ‘wholesale’ network acces to the retail service providers who then provide services to the tenants. LBNCo is now part of Uniti Group (ASX: UWL) following its acquisition in August 2019.
