FUND OVERVIEW

Roc Summit Private Equity Fund is an open-ended fund designed to offer wholesale investors access to private equity while managing liquidity effectively.

The Fund aims to deliver capital growth over the medium to long term by investing in private equity opportunities across the entire business lifecycle primarily in Australia and New Zealand.

INVESTMENT STRATEGY

Through Roc Partners’ strong relationships and extensive networks, investors will gain diversification by company stage, industry and vintage. Over time the Fund will:

  • Consist of a portfolio of >100 private companies
  • Allocate to primary and secondary fund investments and direct private company investments, such as co-investment
  • Access leading private equity General Partners (GP) with long track records and histories of strong returns
  • Provide the convenience of a dividend reinvestment plan
  • Allow for limited monthly redemptions, subject to an initial lock-up period from Fund inception.

The private company lifecycle

The Fund will acquire private companies at all stages of a company’s lifecycle, balancing the portfolio from a risk and reward perspective. The primary focus will be on acquiring companies with stable cash flows at growth or buyout stage, while allocating a smaller portion to companies either at the start of their journey, or at the end of their journey which involves opportunities in distressed businesses or assets. All stages of a business’ lifecycle can present attractive returns but with different risk characteristics.

Why invest in private equity?

Private equity investments offer access to a diverse range of companies not available through public stock exchanges. This includes emerging companies and businesses focused on rapid expansion. For those looking to invest, private equity can potentially offer higher returns and provide portfolio diversification, both of which are important factors in reaching long-term financial goals.

While public exchanges generally feature larger, more established corporations, private equity allows investors to engage with businesses across various sizes and maturity stages. This unique positioning enables private equity to capitalise on growth opportunities and turnaround situations at different points in a company’s development.
